When love turns to hate

I need more then you can give,
All I want is not here,
A symphony of words can't tell,
Can't reveal, cannot sing all you are not.

I shut the door,
I shut emotions,
I turn out the lights,
I will do everything to get away,
I don't want you, I don't need you.
I never want to feel the way you made me.

You stole the poetry from life,
Took it and ripped it to pieces,
Left it to flutter in the wind,
It rained down from above,
Heavy with spent emotion.

Leave, Leave me now,

My world is more alive without you.
